Normally yes.

Do you have had problems during the installation or was it without problems?

Which Vista version do you use - Home or Business or ??

What's your user-ID, mybe you can send me user-ID by U2U?

I have 64 bit Vista Home Premium SP1
I did not have any problems during the installation but when I try to launch th program Windows reports that a problem caused the program to stop working.

Instructed the firewall to allow the program to communicate and I even changed the installation directory other than the default C:\program files (x86) but with no success.

Yes, this is maybe the reason of your problems.

I'll send you an email with a link to a special debug version of MtiQS. Maybe we can locate the error an resolve that. Let me know if this is okay for you.

Hi apfx,

sorry for the delay in my answer.
It seems like a registry problem for the type library or ActiveX elements which are needed by MtiQS.
Do you have done the installation under Admin rights?
Maybe you have to register some components by hand. Please try the following:

* Left click on "Start"

* In the bottom left-hand box type "cmd" or "cmd.exe" (without quotation marks)

* The top of the "Start" box should switch to "programs" and list "cmd"

* Right click on the "cmd" file and select "Run as Administrator"

* Click all the "Continue" and "Allow" buttons and a black Dos-like box will appear with "C:\windows\system32>" (or whatever drive you have Vista loaded on)

* Type in "regsvr32 C:\Program files\MtiQS\YOURFILEMODULE.XXX (the name of the module you're trying to install). For example to install the CyberFeeder.ocx runtime library in the register, type: "regsvr32 C:\Program files\MtiQS\CyberFeeder.ocx" (No Quote marks) and hit Enter.

If all's gone well you should see "DllRegisterServer in C:\Program files\MtiQS\CyberFeeder.ocx succeeded."

Here is the list with all libraries you have to register:

These file is locatet in the system folder:

DXdbGrid.dll (should be located in the sys directory, f.e. "WINDOWS\system32")

These files are locatet in the MtiQS installation folder:

CyberFeeder.ocx
PSystm.dll
MbtQuote.dll
MbtCom.dll
MbtOrders.dll
MbtQQ.ocx
MbtOE.ocx
MbtGrids.ocx
MbtNavFrame.ocx
VTAPI.dll
VTcore.dll
ddflink.dll

Let me know what happens during the registration of the files and whether MtiQS is running after that.

I got some files missing here:

DXdbGrid.dll - not found in C:\Windows\System32
PSystm.dll - not found in the Installation folder: c:\Program Files (x86)\MTiQS

Should I try to reinstall ( i did that several times) or can you send the missing files to me

Sorry, there was a typing error. Instead "PSystm.dll " it should be "dXPSystm.dll". The other one "DXdbGrid.dll" maybe is located in another folder in WINDOWS directory. Try a search in "WINDOWS" incl. all subfolders.
The installation program is searching for the right sys folder during the installation process and therefore it's possible that this file is placed in another folder underneath WINDOWS directory.

Sorry again,

the "dXPSystm.dll" is onthe same place like "DXdbGrid.dll" (WINDOWS).

Because all the other files (all from inside the installation directory) cannot be registered I assume that under VISTA it's not allowed to register such components in a folder outside the main WINDOWS folder. Or you don't have the full admin rights maybe?

Please try to copy and register all the files from the installation folder in the WINDOWS folder (same folder like you are able to register components).

I registered: dXPSystm.dll
But failed to register the other files.
( Copy them to the folder that I was able to register the other components)
I tried also with real administrator rights.
